Hello!

My name is Allyson Moore, and I am the Baker. I started Chubby Bunny Bakery with the encouragement of my family hoping that I could help others like me to be able to enjoy delicious and wholesome treats that fit my dietary needs- made with organic ingredients and without anything processed or artificial.

I have dealt with multiple health issues most of my life, going from one doctor and specialist to another, and I had been tested and falsely diagnosed with pretty much everything under the sun. Finally, one doctor did a full allergen workup and discovered that I had multiple food allergies. While it was a relief to finally know what was causing all of my ailments, then came my journey of roaming around grocery stores reading the labels on literally everything to see if it was something I could actually eat. If you’ve stumbled upon my website, you or a loved one has been there too.

Thus began my adventure into seeking out ways to make healthy foods and treats that I could enjoy. I started making all of my food at home, but most of all- I enjoyed baking. My mother and husband are my biggest cheerleaders, and the two of them encouraged me that there are other people in the same position, with multiple food allergies and intolerances that would enjoy these treats as well. My goal with Chubby Bunny is to satisfy a need in the food allergy market, not just gluten free.

When I started Chubby Bunny, I had no intention of growing into the business it is today, but my mother is quite pushy and convinced I was onto something great. Looking back, it’s hard to believe that I produced as much product as I did from our home kitchen. I made wholesale product out of my house for 5 years (and had two babies) before moving my business into Findlay Kitchen in OTR in the fall of 2017. In joining Findlay Kitchen, I was able to not only produce my products- but received a crash course on how to open and operate my own bakery. After working out of that space for just over a year, we found a location here in my hometown of Hamilton, Ohio, in the former Marshall Electric Building. We share the space with our best friends the Chickpea Chicks. They make amazing fresh organic hummus in fun flavors like Lemon Zowie, Garlic, Dill Pickle, Cincy Style, Smokin’, Wasabi —if you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out!

I hope you enjoy our baked goods as much I do!
